What is the best way to take care of fresh flowers?

my buddy gave me a bouquet of flowers and roses from their mixture one .. What should I do at last .. a little more How can I remove the tissue paper and plastic that comes with it?

yes take off all paper and plastic cast. should not be a small packet of flower food that you just add water cold water is not super good. before putting it in a glass to cut the stems about an inch at an angle (or how ever you need to cut to fit your glass to good height) and placed immediately in water. Also make sure that no leaves in the water, only the leaves of branches that are low on the stem. then every two days to change water and trim the stems a bit for a new cut.
